Biography 

Matt Bankston is the Head of Scripted Content for Sydney-based Perpetual Entertainment.  Since 2025, Bankston has overseen all development and packaging for a slate of international co-production projects out of Perpetual's Australian and New Zealand offices.

Prior to Perpetual, Bankston was most recently the Senior Vice President of Scripted Television for the launch of independent financier AGC Studios.  At AGC, he was a producer and executive in charge of the international co-production Those About to Die for Peacock and Amazon, and oversaw the acquisition and development of additional titles such as Leopard Skin for Peacock, the spy drama Gray co-produced with Lionsgate Television, the Australian crime thriller Troppo for Amazon, and more.  

Bankston previously held VP positions for Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp TV Studios and for Montreal-based Muse Entertainment.  He started his career as a Creative Executive for Sean Hayes’ Hazy Mills Productions for NBC/Universal Studios, later at CBS/Paramount Studios.  He is an alumni of the LSU School of Music and Dramatic Arts, where he received his BA in Theatre Studies.
