The Women's Center

 

Our Mission

The LSU Women's Center, a unit under the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, promotes the advancement of women's issues and gender equality through its services, advocacy efforts, and educational programs. The Center also provides support, referral, and information to students, faculty, and staff on issues and concerns related to women.

Location & Hours

Women's Center

The Women’s Center’s address is 110 Veterans Drive, Baton Rouge, LA. It is on the corner of South Campus and Veterans Drive, behind Barnes and Nobles, located right underneath the parking garage. We are open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

LGBTQ+ Project

The LGBTQ+ Project now has space in Coates Hall room 175. Our regular hours for Spring 2023 are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, closed on Tuesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Services

The Women’s Center/ LGBTQ+ Project provides services in three main areas:

Programs & Events

The Women’s Center/ LGBTQ+ Project hosts several signature programs each year and co-sponsors numerous programs and events with campus and community partners.

Information & Referrals

The Women’s Center/ LGBTQ+ Project connects students, faculty, staff, community members with information and resources. We have print materials, an online resource directory, and can provide referrals to campus, local, state, national, and international resources.

Working Space

The Women’s Center: has several rooms that can be used to work. Space capacity is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.

The LGBTQ+ Project: the new space in Coates Hall 175, offers a place for people to study, relax, or socialize.
