The Friends of Hilltop Arboretum will hold its annual Spring Fling Plant Sale on Saturday,
April 5, from 9am – 4pm, and Sunday, April 6, from 12 – 4pm, at LSU Hilltop Arboretum,
11855 Highland Road. The sale is open to the public. Members of the Friends of Hilltop
will receive first pick of plants at a discount at the Members-Only Sale, Wednesday,
April 2, 9am – 4pm. Become a member of Hilltop to take advantage of the opportunity!
The sale is a celebration of Hilltop’s commitment to collect people and plants and bring them together in the unique and natural space that is Hilltop Arboretum. In honoring Hilltop’s commitment to Go Native! an expanded selection of native plants will be featured along with native plant resources and education. Also featured will be over 300 species of native and traditional trees, shrubs, perennials, vines, ferns, camellias, and grasses, all sourced from trusted nurseries in the south. Plant experts will on hand to assist with your plant selections.
The ever-popular Yarden Sale, Vendor’s Village, and Hilltop Gift Shop will return for visitors’ enjoyment. New this year will be “Hilltop Hospitality”, featuring a variety of concessions to enjoy while perusing.
Don’t forget the kids! A children’s activity tent will engage children of all ages in crafting spring-themed nature activities and take-home treats.
Become a member of the Friends of Hilltop Arboretum by Thursday, March 27, to gain access to the members-only sale and receive 10% off plants. Members will receive a link to the plant availability list one week prior to the sale. Members will also receive discounted admission to the Spring Fling Pre-Sale Teaser on Sunday, March 30.
