Roadmap
Below is the most current information regarding campus operations as related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Updates will be made as the Governor, Louisiana Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention make changes and recommendations that impact our university. The health and safety of our community will always be our guidepost. All information is subject to change as the state of these health threats changes.
COVID-19
Get Tested
Free COVID-19 vaccines, boosters, and tests are available to students at the Student Health Center on campus. In addition, any student can pick up a free COVID home test at the LSU Student Union Information Desk, or the LSU Library at the first floor Information Desk. Students who live on campus can also get a free home test at their residence hall upon move-in. Students belonging to Greek organizations can get a free home test at the Greek Life Office, Room 333 in the Student Union.
LSU faculty and staff can pick up a free home test at the Office of Human Resources, 110 T. Boyd Hall.
For additional testing locations in the area please visit the Louisiana Department of Health.
COVID-19 Reporting Dashboard
The dashboard will be updated once a week on Mondays to reflect active and cumulative positive cases. Data is collected through the COVID-19 reporting tool.
Vaccines
Vaccines are available on campus at the Student Health Center Injection Clinic.
Let us know you are vaccinated:
Isolation and Quarantine
LSU has adopted the CDC's protocols for COVID-19 Isolation and Quarantine.
Visit the "Quarantine and Isolation" webpage on CDC.gov for current information.
Isolation: What to Expect
Students living in Residential Life-operated residence halls and apartments who test positive for COVID-19:
- Should report the positive status in the new reporting tool on the MyLSU homepage or under the Campus Community menu.
- Respond to emails and/or phone calls from a member of the Residential Life Covid Advocacy team to discuss isolation options.
- Isolate according to the CDC’s isolation guidelines.
- The first option is to return home. Residents who live within a three-hour drive from LSU are expected to leave campus to isolate.
- For students who cannot leave campus, Residential Life staff will discuss available options, including a very limited amount of isolation space available on campus. Each case will be evaluated individually, and the student’s first option should be to return home.
