I do this work because I believe in the power of physical activity to propel people to be the best version of themselves for themselves each and every day. When we do that, we are better prepared to help others.

I witness every day the healing power of movement and physical activity and how it benefits all facets of our lives. Knowing that "what I do" provides this opportunity for students is a powerful motivator.

Life's a beach

I grew up on Pensacola Beach in the summers and have a love for white sand and crystal-clear blue water.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is the UREC Student Recreation Complex because it is a place where students connect, learn, grow, and laugh.

Advice I don't leave home without

"Help thy brothers boat across, and lo thine own has reached the shore." My grandfather wrote this Hindu proverb in all his hat bands and had it written on a small plaque. I have that plaque in a place in my house so that I can see it every day.
