Military & Veteran Student Services

The William A. Brookshire Military & Veterans Student Center opened on January 31, 2018. The center includes the following spaces:

  • computer lab and printer
  • conference room and library
  • kitchenette
  • large multipurpose room with audiovisual equipment
  • outdoor patio with tables and chairs
  • reception lounge
  • restrooms
  • staff offices
  • shower
  • small study room

Staff in the center provide a number of services to veterans, service members, dependents, and survivors (VSDS). These services include:

  • outreach to the VSDS population in Louisiana and the Southeast
  • assisting prospective VSDS students with the admissions process
  • advising VSDS students on benefits and options
  • providing campus tours to VSDS students and their families
  • acting as a liaison between VSDS students and university departments
