Friday, August 29 - 20 Years After Katrina: Louisiana's Journey to Resilience
A full day of discussions about lessons learned in the wake of the Hurricane Katrina, the progress Louisiana has made, and the work yet to be done. Monday, September 8 & Tuesday, September 9 - GIS Workshop: Exploring Weather Hazards through Geospatial Storytelling
Join Louisiana State University, the LSU AgCenter, and UCAR/NSF NCAR for a two-day, hands-on GIS workshop that transforms cutting-edge science into practical strategies for disaster resilience. Through interactive mapping, modeling, and geospatial storytelling, participants will explore Louisiana’s most pressing hazards—from extreme heat and hurricanes to flooding and storm surge.
