Status Updates

IT Centralization is a phased effort to streamline and unify IT support across campus. The goal is to improve service, reduce duplications, and better support the university’s long-term goals.

Centralization Phases Timeline: Phase 1- Units Not Yet Started. Phase 2- Discovery & Planning. Phase 3- Transition to ITS. Phase 4- ITS Orientation. Phase 5- Operations & Continuous Improvement.

Awaiting initial meeting, once complete move to Phase 2. Units & ITS collaborate to review staffing, discuss duties, and finalize a tailored support model. Actively transitioning into ITS. Together, IT staff are setting things up for long-term operational success. The centralized IT support model is in active operation. IT support teams work together to address road bumps and adjust.

Local Support Team
  • Dedicated Team to provide your day-to-day support
  • Ensures continued local IT presence for support
Regional Management and Coordination
  • This is where the queue is managed and support can be coordinated
  • Coordinates “Surge Support” for the region for special events or needs while ensuring local support is maintained
