Paws @ Work
Healthy employees are happy employees, and employee wellness is important, as it plays
a vital role in the workplace. Did you know that simply petting an animal will lower
the stress hormone? Staff Senate has partnered with the Office of Human Resource Management
to host the first Paws @ Work! Stop by the green space (behind Thomas Boyd Hall and
the Memorial Tower) to find adoptable dogs to pet and play with from Capital Area
Animal Welfare Society (CAAWS).

We ask all deans, directors, and department heads to celebrate their staff in their
own way on this day. Take pictures of your staff appreciation events and send them
to staffsen@lsu.edu for our newsletter!
April 19 from 5 to 7 p.m.
FREE Crawfish Boil on the Parade Ground. This event is sponsored by the Lt. Governor’s
Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board.

Staff Senate provides the appetizers, and you buy your drinks!
April 21 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Staff Tailgate at Tiger Park
Join the Staff Senate at Tiger Park as Campus Federal Credit Union cooks and serves
delicious jambalaya! Staff Senate will provide beverages, cookie cake, and t-shirts
until they’re all gone. You’ll also receive two free tickets to see the Lady Tigers
take on Mississippi State at 6 p.m.
