One thing Aliya Pasquale was sure about when it came to college was she wanted to attend an out-of-state university.

The Boston, Massachusetts native traveled far south to study at LSU, but her journey didn’t stop there.

“Leaving your home state provides you with many opportunities to learn from different cultures, and it forces you out of your comfort zone. The culture shock I experienced in the South was the greatest learning experience I've ever had. You have to adapt and move forward.”

Her time at the E. J. Ourso College of Business has proved Aliya’s ability to not only adapt but excel in academics, international interests, and making a meaningful impact in the business world.

Aliya's commitment to academic success is evident in her outstanding GPA and participation in the Ogden Honors College. Beyond academics, internships at Cape Cod 5 and Kean Miller provided her with invaluable real-world experience, preparing her for a future career in business and law.

An unforgettable highlight of Aliya's academic journey was her study abroad program at Ecole de Management Strasbourg Business School in France. This immersive experience enhanced her academic growth and allowed her to explore 25 European cities, expanding her cultural understanding and fostering a global perspective.

While studying at the Ourso College, Aliya discovered her passion for marketing and data-driven decision-making. Her understanding of the intersection between marketing and data analytics reflects her forward-thinking approach and readiness to tackle the industry's evolving challenges.

“One memorable lesson I've learned comes from my marketing capstone class with Professor Kris Lindsey Hall. Every day, she starts class with a quotable, and one  was, 'Marketing without data is like driving with your eyes closed.' I thought that was such an interesting analogy, but it truly defines how important data is to the marketing field and how you can gain such valuable insights and make important data-driven decisions regarding customers and products.”

Looking ahead, Aliya is poised to make a significant impact in her chosen field. With aspirations to pursue a career in corporate law focusing on privacy laws and customer protection, she is determined to address pressing issues such as customer privacy in data collection—a testament to her commitment to ethical business practices. After graduation, she plans to undertake a legal internship with Cape Cod 5 during a gap year before pursuing law school in 2025.

Aliya's aspirations extend beyond professional success; she hopes to be remembered for her integrity, hard work, and unwavering passion. Guided by her father's mantra, "Try your very hardest, and you will succeed," Aliya is driven to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

In Aliya Pasquale, we find not just a student but also a leader poised to leave an indelible mark in business and beyond.
